The Ford Explorer touts three engine options, with the base offering being a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 290 horsepower and 255 foot-pounds of torque. Douglas County drivers that want a big more torque can opt for a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that provides 280 horsepower and 310 foot-pounds of torque. The top of the line engine option is a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that offers up 365 horsepower and 350 foot-pounds of torque. All trims come with six-speed automatic transmission.

Tech & Convenience

The Explorer SUV is more than just powerful, it also comes outfitted with a range of tech and convenience features. Drivers can opt for a standard six-speaker audio system, or they can jump for a Sony audio system option. Available on the XLT model is a leather-wrapped steering wheel, driver assistance features (blind spot monitoring), push-button start, and rear parking sensors.
